alignd vs Calendly

alignd or Calendly? The short answer.

Choose Calendly if people mostly book one-to-one time with you from your own calendar. Choose alignd if you regularly need several people, often in different organisations and time zones, to agree on one time: guests paint their free time or vote, alignd ranks the overlap, and one invite goes to everyone. alignd is priced per host from $5.99 a month; Calendly's paid plans are priced per seat.

Which should you choose?

Choose alignd if

  • You often need three or more people, inside and outside your organisation, to agree on one time.
  • You want guests to mark their actual free time, not just vote on slots you guessed.
  • You want one flat price per host instead of paying per seat.

Choose Calendly if

  • Most of your meetings are one-to-one bookings against your own calendar (sales calls, interviews, office hours).
  • You need routing, workflows or team round-robin.
  • Your organisation already pays for Calendly seats.

Key differences

What actually differs.

Whose calendar is the starting point

Calendly starts from your calendar: you publish your availability and other people pick a slot. alignd starts from the group: everyone says when they're free, and the slot comes out of the overlap.

Polls versus painted availability

Calendly Meeting Polls let invitees vote on times you propose, on all plans. Calendly's help pages note that votes are final and you can't add slots after publishing. alignd offers voting too, plus a mode where guests paint their free time so you don't have to guess options up front.

Pricing model

Calendly's paid plans are per seat. alignd charges per host account: $5.99 a month for 100 bookings, or free for 5 a month.
