alignd is built and run in the UK by Metamindz, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11831397), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ. Metamindz is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email hello@wearealignd.com.

• Hosts: email address, the name you give us, your events, billing status (payments are handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers) and, if you connect it, your Google account email.
• Guests: the name and email address you enter, and your availability or votes for that event.
• Technical data: server and error logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
• Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how pages are used.

• To run the service you asked for: showing the host your responses, sending verification codes, and sending calendar invites when a time is confirmed (contract, and legitimate interests for guests).
• To keep alignd secure and fix problems (legitimate interests).
• To understand which pages help people, if you consent to analytics cookies (consent).

The host of an event sees each guest's name, email address and answers. In availability mode, other guests can see first names alongside the overlap. Guests do not see each other's email addresses.

We use these processors to run alignd:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting.
• Resend: transactional email.
• Google: calendar invites and Google Meet links; Google Analytics only with your consent.
• Stripe: payments for paid plans.
• Trigger.dev: background jobs such as sending invites.
• Sentry (EU region): error monitoring.
• Slack: internal notifications to our team about sign-ups, bookings and billing events.

Some of these providers are based in, or use sub-processors in, the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember a guest's response on an event. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner; you can change your mind with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

We keep account and event data while the host's account is active. Deleting an event removes it from your dashboard; to have an event, a response or an account permanently erased, email hello@wearealignd.com.

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@wearealignd.com. If you're unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
